IT system of a human resource company is being replaced,what reason,might initiate this change?

So the decision is made to replace the current IT system of human resource company there
could be multiple reasons for that. Now they will go with efficient HRM software which has
multiple features in it like Data management of employees, payroll, attendance management, loans
and advance management, policy making and many other feature which is required by HR.
Decision of changing the current software will be done by higher management but request would
have been made by HR of firm. Major reasons for changing current HR system would be that
feature are less, software could be outdated, in current system HR have to enter data manually and
make reports manually, too many limitations in current system, not supporting different policies
and file, unable to manage and maintain the data of employees, not efficient, Time consuming
software, new software will give competitor advantage, Integration with ERP software is not
possible, issues in making pay rolls, making mistakes in attendance, new software can allow them
to store data in cloud space, new software allows employees to mark attendance when they out for
office work, new software allow them mark attendance offline, new software is efficient and less
costly along with maintenance and it could be many factors for changing current software.

So the phases of system development are called software development life cycle. This starts when
a user feels the lacking feature in current system so he makes a formal request to the management. So, the whole process includes 5 stages and those are planning, analysis, design, implementation
and operation, support and security. So in planning stage request is been reviewed and understand the main issue, them management starts to prioritize the requests because some times there are multiple requests but limited source are there then management allocate the resources according to request and proper team is form the development of new system. For suppose new HR system is require so HR will make the request it will be reviewed, resources will be allocated and them team will be for to make HR system.

Moving to Analysis stage in this proper analysis is done about the main issue and the team do
investigation. They properly study the current system, find the lacking feature, analyses the
requirement of request made and then make a recommendation.

Now comes the designing part in this if they need new software of hardware so they buy that or in
short take them on board to design a accurate system as demanded. Then they will develop the
proper system according to each minor detail which is required and which will be helpful.

Now comes the implementation stage in this a new program is developed according to requirement
some times previous is modified according to requirement. Now comes the turn to install the new
system and test to get know about the efficacy. If it gets approved by management so now
employees will be trained and after training it will be used in organization.

Last stage is operating, support and security in this stage maintenance work is taken into
consideration, make it secure so that there are less chance of harm to organization and monitor the
performance of this software.
